Tree planting: 10.00 a.m. Saturday 6th March, Brian Adair's farm, Sion, St John. All welcome, bring a spade.
J-CAN Monthly meeting: 8.00 p.m. Tuesday 30th March 2010 - One World Centre, Seale Street, St Helier, Jersey. All welcome.
Saturday 27th March 8.30 - 9.30 pm – Earth Hour: Individuals and businesses will be urged to turn off their lights at this time as a gesture of support for the environment. J-CAN plan to tour central St. Helier at the time to identify businesses that have either supported or failed to support the event.
Thursday 22nd April – Earth Day: J-CAN will organise a stall in King Street, probably to focus on transport and cycling.
Weekend 10th-11th July – West Show: J-CAN hope to have a stand at the West Show, St. Peter. We plan to emphasise peak oil, energy security and local food. Our stand may include a selection of locally-grown organic produce, contrasted with examples of waste from packaging, transport and inorganic chemicals.
